Surefire Marketing & Event Consulting is owned and operated by Stephanie McLarty.
With over 12 years of advertising, marketing and event
management experience, Stephanie is a proven performer that moves easily from
vision and strategy to implementation and execution, creating value while
focusing on delivering objectives.
While her expertise lies predominantly in real estate and
tourism/destination marketing and hospitality fields, she learns quickly while
possessing a relevant skill set and the personal attributes to be an effective
and efficient part of any team.
Upon graduating from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce, her professional career began in large advertising agencies in Vancouver and Toronto on high profile and/or global clients in the consumer packaged goods, telecommunications and financial service sectors. She then became the Marketing Specialist with Playground, the resort real estate division of Intrawest, following the purchase of the Blue Mountain Resort, which enabled her to launch a vast number of successful residential properties, while creating Blue Mountain, and the entire area, as a viable destination within Ontario, twelve months a year, which required her to lead the creation, preparation and execution of an effective and functional business strategy, manage schedules, evaluate progress while communicating effectively with key stakeholders – locally, regionally and internationally. As Sales and Marketing Director with Watermark Hospitality, she set the strategic direction of four businesses: two luxury country retreats and two busy, retail gourmet food shops in Creemore and Thornbury. For all, she worked to maximize sales profitability, develop revenue streams, forecast and measure growth opportunities, set and manage advertising programs, pricing strategies and staff training programs while managing strong relationships with customers, suppliers and staff. Since 2007, Stephanie has owned and operated her own marketing & event management consulting business, utilizing three guiding principles: to plan, to create and to deliver. Her extensive portfolio includes strategic planning, brand management, corporate sponsorship programs, media relations, team leadership and the sophisticated creative execution of multi-faceted marketing and advertising campaigns for a number of companies including Playground, The Lora Bay Corporation, the Raven Golf Club at Lora bay, the Creemore Springs Brewery, Tubbs Snowshoes and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Throughout her professional life, she listens to her team and/or her clients, she understands their vision, shares their passion and implements the strategy, providing consistent messaging and delivering on objectives. Her passion and commitment to excellence, achieving success and adhering to the highest possible standards is an intrinsic part of who she is, how she lives her life and how she becomes a vital part of the team.
Stephanie
is married with a daughter and resides in Collingwood, Ontario. Before starting her family and her
business, she and her husband embarked on a world tour, visiting 19 countries
in 8 months: camping in Europe, heading to Mount Everest’s Base Camp in Nepal,
traveling all over South East Asia, surfing in Australia and trekking in New Zealand. She loves sports, the culinary arts, design, travel and innovative endeavours and fresh thinking. |
